The hole-series system: drilled guide rails in 1400 and 2424 mm plus the sets that go with them. With a router on the rail it drills shelf-support holes at a repeating 32 mm pitch, in 5 or 3 mm, at a fixed clearance from the board edge. The result is a cabinet whose shelves sit level and whose fittings line up — which is what the 32 mm system exists to guarantee.
