Detachable mains leads. Almost every corded Festool machine takes the same plug it connector, so one cable serves whichever tool you are holding and the rest travel without leads coiled round them. The real argument is repair. A damaged cable is the commonest failure on a corded power tool, and with a captive lead that means a workshop visit; here it means unplugging one and plugging in another. Lengths of 4, 7.5 and 10 m, in rubber for general use and polyurethane where the lead gets dragged over abrasive surfaces or into contact with oil and solvent.
