The surface control light is a measuring instrument rather than a lamp. Its optics throw a tightly focused cone across a surface at a shallow angle, and anything standing proud or sitting low casts a shadow — filler ridges, sanding marks, roller texture, joints that haven't been feathered. Under ordinary overhead light those defects are invisible until the paint has dried and the customer is standing in front of them. Used before finishing, they cost a minute each. Sold alone or in a set with a tripod, adapter and bag.
