An impact driver delivers torque in rotational blows rather than steady pressure, which is why it drives a long screw that would stall a drill — and why it doesn't try to twist out of your hand when the screw bites. Around 180 Nm from a 960 g machine, with three speed settings. It starts without impact so the screw can find its thread, then brings the hammer in as resistance rises. A dedicated mode for self-drilling screws senses the moment the tip passes from sheet metal into timber and drops the speed, which is the point at which those screws normally strip. Bit cassettes are listed alongside — impact-rated bits, because standard ones shear.
